Summary

The Specialist II for Budget in Title I tracks, evaluates, and reports on school and District Title I budgets

Essential Duties

  • Assists in and coordinates the on-going fiscal cycle of the Title I Office
  • Coordinates the preparation, storage, and retrieval of data, documents, and reports for the office
  • Provides technical assistance on all assignments and projects emanating from the Title I Office
  • Assists in providing training and support for school bookkeepers
  • Serves as the primary resource for principals, teachers, and administrators to answer questions about budgets
  • Generates all Title I reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Performs other Title I duties as assigned by the Director, Title I

Required Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Certification/Licensure

None required
Must be willing to acquire additional training as directed by manager

Experience Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience working in a public school system preferably with Title I; Experience working with budgets is a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Significant experience with Shared Documents, Excel, Microsoft Office
  • Excellent keyboarding, writing, and mathematical skills
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects and responsibilities
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with District and school personnel, the general public, and work with diverse groups of people
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
