Summary

The System Analyst, Enterprise Resource Planning, is responsible for the day-to-day development and support of the District’s Enterprise Resource Planning applications.  The role will be integral in ensuring a high level of responsiveness to Finance and Talent staff business needs and support requests, as well as providing support for additional cost center owners and executive staff.

Essential Duties

  • Develops and/or provides enhancements to analytical cubes designed for use with the SAP Budgeting and Planning module (SBP)
  • Assists budget staff in determining budget formulas and ensuring the appropriate data elements are loaded into SBP for budget use
  • Participates in the creation and maintenance of extraction jobs to feed data from core S/4HANA system to SBP
  • Assists in SAP business warehouse database administration and monitoring
  • Assists in identifying and application of SAP support packages and notes
  • Performs unit and quality assurance testing
  • Assists in the execution and maintenance of critical business processes
  • Serves as first tier support to the SAP Business Warehouse end users
  • Assists in the development of reports and dashboards utilizing various business intelligence tools
  • Supports application developers and SAP business process owners in the maintenance and use of the business warehouse
  • Participates as part of SAP project teams to incorporate new and existing technology into the over-arching SAP landscape 
  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures that can be accessed by IT and business staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems

Certification/Licensure

None required

Experience Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years in IT required; Experience with SAP Budgeting and Planning Module or SAP Business Warehouse desired; Finance experience desired

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Expertise in BI Data Modeling, SAP technical architecture and SAP business processes configuration and analysis
  • Good understanding of SAP landscape, from a business processes and technologies stand point
  • SAP S/4HANA, SAP Netweaver 7.5, SAP BW 7.5
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with District personnel, FCS internal and external stakeholders, and work with diverse groups of people
  • Ability to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate program goals and initiatives
  • Ability to supervise and work effectively with departmental personnel
  • Good decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
